STARTING WHAT SEEMS A CIA & fbi manhunt but with other malevolent agents i.e men in black or x files like with the public leaving their small towns or staying at home three students are caught in the chaos

david, justin & craig travelling in a hot fourth of july weekend un-noticed by nevada population

suddenly the students are attacked by a creature closer to independence day than alien or the thing both justin & craig killed

a month later david recovering from his injuries thinking it was a lunatic or serial killer is interrogated by cia & fbi

the other victims in the swamp were never found but when returned beverley & david go on a holiday jennifer thinks he's gone chicago for personal reasons the destination the appalachian mountains including beverley family killed by david metamorphosis martian in family picnic leaving beverley becoming ellen ripley before her death

for family reasons jennifer is told david wants to leave her even though she's the one he loves ? & go back to chicago with permission of men in black like ufologists i.e cia & fbi throughout the story with nopd investigating the deaths that seems to be david curse

jennifer follows david back to a winter chicago & david's rich family saying she cannot live without him

david & his extended family with jennifer engage in winter games i.e ice hockey & others on a frozen lake outside of chicago

david metamorphosis into the deadly martian & massacred his own family leaving jennifer & ufologists doing half a hour monster set-piece in illinois wilderness

the martian gets shot & drowns underneath the frozen lake
